Maybe the scene of men’s tennis dominated by Fedex and Nadal would change and it would become like 1980’s when there were Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors but it was not to be. Fedex and Nadal continued to dominate as earlier. Andy Murray and Novak would have their moments here and there. But they were like planets in solar system, there could be many planets bot only one sun. And now the sun was Nadal, who was beating Federer almost everywhere. Novak started to make it to semis and finals on regular basis but nothing great. And, then came the year 2011 where it all changed. 2011 Australian Open he saarts out loud beating Andy Murray in the finals to claim his second Australian Open and also his second grand slam in an effortless manner. This was the may be it will all change and yes it did. He beat Nadal in four back to back finals and went into French Open as favourite and when everyone expected him to triumph, he was outclassed by the Legend Fedex. Federer was just unbeatable in this match no matter what. Novak not only lost, it also ended his 43 freight train streak which is believed to a marvel in modern tennis.

Was there a twist in the tale? Will Fedex be back? No, said Dkokovic. Djokovic won Wimbeldon thrashing Nadal and went on to become World Number 1. Everyone was wondering how could anyone possibly achieve hat this guy has all in just a year. Then it was the last grand slam of the year US Open. Djokovic lost(retired) in preparation going into US Open to his friend Murray. That was the time everyone thought,is the magic spell over? May be he has lost his steam or is there some more gas left in his tank? Still he was the favourite and he proved he was right. Yes, he was tired, he was injured despite all tha he had it all to be the champ. He once again beat Nadal.

What an year, 3 Grand Slams and 7 ATP Master titles and thhe year is far from over. What Djokovic has done is a superhuman effort which is nest to impossible and is believed to be the greatest year by any Tennis player in the entire history. It’s not just the game, it’s the preparation that matters. Novak himself said, what has changed is his confidence level and he is confidence and he is enjoying every moment. He also says his glucon free diet has made huge difference. But whatever one says, whatever be the surface, whatever be the conditions he has mastered it and everyone whether its Nadal, Federer orMurrayhas just admired it. The best thing about Nole is his behaviour on court. He is cool on court, doesn’t get much frustrated and is always calm as cucumber and he applauds his opponents on good pointsIn a year Djoker as they say known for his on court mimics has made him the best in the business. But the question is will 2012 be different from 2011 and how long will the fairy tale continue?
