Yesterday, the eagerly awaited 5 festive days of Diwali – the festival of lights have commenced!
Woollens have been pulled out of wardrobes, with winter spreading its wings over entire North India and mid-plains. In Himalayan states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir, winter is reaching to its zenith, as many of the highlands in Himalayan are witnessing slight to moderate snowfall. By the end of the month (November), you may see several places in Kashmir, Himachal and North-eastern states laden with snow. But this is time of the year I love the most. It’s the time of festivals and I’m very excited about my favourite festival, DIWALI !!!!!
Today is Choti Diwali, and tomorrow the biggest festival of Hindus when all the streets, markets, houses are decorated with sparkling lights and it’s an amazing ambience. Though there is a lot of traffic, noise and everyone seems to be in a rush when heading to their homes but the vibes are positive, lovely atmosphere, so colourful and lively. Firecrackers could be seen crackling all around. Gifts are being exchanged, shopping, decoration, it’s so much fun. Sweets, there is so much to eat and what not. Writing this makes me excited.
So, a very happy Diwali to all my friends and have a lot of fun. Play Safe.
